The idea is that some software publisher would design and release the perfect homeschool learning software for every subject. The software would do everything we need, cover all the topics of a subject. Our children would learn everything they need to know from one piece of software you could purchase, even if it was expensive. But, of course, we know that software package doesn’t exist. Most homeschool software packages available do some things well, and others things not so well. They may be lacking in some topics, and stellar in others. Or you may need two software programs to cover a broad subject for your homeschool children. But, when trying to find that perfect software program for the subject you need, don’t let perfect be the enemy of good. In other words, go with software that is good now, rather than always searching for the “perfect” software for use in your homeschool.
