Vegan is defined as someone who abstains from all animal products. This includes the obvious things like meat, cheese, butter, eggs, milk, and fish. Veganism also includes refraining from animal byproducts, wool, leather, silk, honey, and wax. This may seem very constricting, but once your lifestyle adapts it is very easy. The thought of becoming vegan may seem daunting, but the difficult part is learning to stay vegan for the long term. Staying vegan means adapting yourself and everything close to you to be cruelty free. There may be times when you get serious cravings or slip a little, but with a small amount of self-discipline staying vegan is very easy. The easiest thing to do to stay on track is to focus your thoughts on the original reason you became vegan (animals, health, etc.) and this should put you back in line.
