Dental implants are expensive, but in most every case, they are worth it.

Your wallet begs to differ.

Here are some tips on getting more affordable dental implants:

* Get a free consultation with an experienced dentist, or better yet, prosthodontist, a specialist in tooth restoration. Then get at least another one to compare.

* Seek out a dental implant clinic, where this is all they do. They’re apt to be less expensive than a dentist who doesn’t do them that often.

* Location affects costs. You’ll pay more in a big city or certain parts of the country. It may be worth it in terms of price to go to a dentist an hour or more away.

* Consider going to a dental school for the work. The students are fully supervised and the fees are substantially reduced.
