If you’re looking for somewhere different, but still romantic, to have your honeymoon. Why not consider India? There are many places to see and things to do. Here are a couple of things to think about before deciding on your ultimate honeymoon travel plans.
Money
The rupee (Rs) is divided into 100 paise (p). At the time of going to print there were about jRs32 to every NZ $1. When changing money, pay attention to the bills and don’t accept ripped ones (staple holes are okay). You can’t take Indian currency into or out of the country. While you can take in unlimited amounts of foreign currency or travelers cheques, you are supposed to declare anything over US $1000.
Photography
Because of the dust and haze during the day, the best light for photography is sunrise and sunset. You can’t take photos at airports or some train stations and other sensitive areas. Some forts and temples charge around Rs25 to use a still camera, and Rs50 for a video camera.
