In the past I had always been happy with the traditional litter boxes. It’s not that bad cleaning them once a day. But I started off with just one cat, then when I married my husband added his cat to our household. It still wasn’t bad to clean the litter boxes. After a few years we ended up with a third cat. The cleaning still didn’t bother me, but as my cat hit her elder years she started to get more particular about having a clean box. With multiple cats it was also getting harder to get away for the weekend.
So I decided to start researching self-cleaning litter boxes. After reading about the benefits of self-cleaning litter boxes I was sold. Now the box is always clean and if we leave for the day or the weekend we don’t have to worry about the litter box. It’s nice to know every time your cat steps in it she’s not stepping in “remains” from earlier. It just makes the whole house feel cleaner.
