I have spent some recent time looking for a new set of cheap metal bunk beds to use in an extra room in my basement where the kids like to sleep and play during the hot summer months. And while I still believe I will find something that will work for my “kid storage” needs, I have also found you need to look close when making a purchase decision on any kind of metal furniture. Many times certain joints and other important elements of metal bunk beds can become bent by too much weight being put on them. Other times I have found bunk bed sets that have obviously come into contact with moisture because the metal parts are rusted and not sturdy. When buying any kind of furniture, and especially bunk beds, make sure you spend plenty of time looking at the strength of the item.
