Life tends to be a sick joker at times. It gets frustrating when things don’t turn out the way we wanted. But most of the time, what hurts the most are situations we didn’t see coming or don’t have control. And even if we did, it’s already too late to make any modification. Here are some common instances why people hit the rock bottom:
* Losing a job
Due to the ongoing economic recession, thousands of employees have been victims of massive retrenchment. Feelings of disappointment, frustration, and low self-esteem could be currently brewing inside their hearts and minds. And if these emotions couldn’t be treated as soon as possible, these could be manic depression symptoms. To pacify all the negativity, they can start looking on the bright side of the situation. They can also go back to their old hobbies, or maybe develop a new skill that would help them find a new job in the future.
* Old age
A lot of people fear age. Some wants to keep their young physique forever, while others equate old age to being rusty and futile. But like any other thing in this world, nothing remains the same. It changes, withers over the years. So if we can’t escape the reality of aging, then we just need to make the process graceful and beneficial for us.
* Death of a loved one
Among the three reasons, this could be considered as the critical ground for giving in to the state of depression. Death, no matter how many times we witness it, is something we can’t get used to because its aspects are unfathomable. We can accept it as part of the life cycle, but every time we experience it through the people we love, shared moments with, or just plain acquaintance, there’s also a part of us that joins them to the grave.
